The White House
From the Desk of the President
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 28, 2013
Citizens of Fresh,
Yesterday, it was very disheartening to announce the resignation of ScottBlack, the Second Vice President of the White House. He has done many things that have resulted in the White House's success to this day. Again, I would like to thank him for his service and wish him luck in his future endeavors. Hopefully someday he will join us once again at the White House.
I am sure that the topic of the vacant Office of the Vice President has been an interesting spectacle of topic in the White House. After much thought, I would like to announce that the Office of the VP will be filled by appointment by myself. I am sure the initial question will be, "Shouldn't we get a say?". You have had a say through the positive comments you have given regarding this person. Hopefully in the future, we will be able to host an accurate election, but in the meantime, the position will be filled by Presidential appointment.
The announcement of the new Vice President will be given on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 8:00 PM EST via the News and Updates forum. A convenient countdown timer will be placed in the main header of the forum. Upon the announcement of the possible incumbent to the Office, the candidate must submit a formal letter of acceptance via posting a reply to the announcement thread. If the candidate accepts the offer, the candidate will take office officially at 8:00 AM EST on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
Once the new Vice President is sworn into office, they will be under a consistent review by the Office of the President and assisted by the Office of the Chief of Staff. The review will be presented to Congress approximately one month from the candidate's taking of office. The review will contain the following: the VP's activity in the one month duration of taking office, progression made, goals set and approx. number of staff hired by the VP. The Congress will then vote on the matter and the fate of the Vice President's office will then be announced.
In case you are curious, for consideration of appointment, candidates must currently be employed by the White House, 5iC+, an active member of the society and must have been a member of the White House for at least three weeks. Remember, do not take offense if you have not been selected. There is a huge amount of theoretical consideration as well. Vice Presidents serve indefinite terms, but simply resigning because you were not appointed is foolish. You must have ambition and will to prove yourself to be worthy of the position of Vice President.
Sincerely,
Woodrow
President
